DIVERSE ÖTZ VALLEY

The Ötz Valley ranks among the most variety-packed excursion destinations in Tyrol. Home to numerous climbing gardens, the Aqua Dome thermal spa and the Area 47 action paradise, it is a genuine must-visit destination. You can experience the day-to-day life of the world-famous Stone Age man “Ötzi” up close in the Ötzi village in Umhausen. The predatory bird park directly next to it offers insights into falconry, including impressive flight demonstrations. The Stuibenfall, Tyrol's largest waterfall, cascades into the depths with impressive force not far away. Also worth a visit: the natural jewel of Lake Piburger near Oetz.

ACTION IN IMST

In the middle of the city of Imst, turn into the wild and romantic Rosengartenschlucht and hike, accompanied by the rushing of the Schinderbach, over steep paths and bridges up to Hoch-Imst. The chairlift takes you to the start of the 3.5 km long “Alpine Coaster” summer toboggan run and after the brisk descent, you can find fun and games in the Family Park.

Fairytale castles in Bavaria

Start early to head for Linderhof Palace in Ettal via Seefeld. There you can visit the neo-rococo dream world of King Ludwig II with the magnificent parks. Then the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle in the Allgäu with its almost unreally beautiful backdrop is a crowning highlight. With many impressions (and photos) richer, you curve over the Fernpass back to Edelmanns.

Exit onto the most beautiful mountain passes

The high mountain road from Imst over the Hahntennjoch leads through a barren rocky landscape, climbs up to 1,894 m above sea level and is a real dream not only for motorcyclists. Cruise through remote villages and succumb to the charm of the glamorous winter sports resorts of Lech & Zürs in summer.

Castle adventures in the Außerfern region

In the Ehrenberg Castle World near Reutte, immerse yourself in the medieval world of knights. Those with a head for heights can overcome a 400 m long test of courage: The "highline197" with a height of up to 114 m is considered to be the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Tibetan style. Even more thrills await on the way home in the Tarrenz Driving Village with go-karting. Another good address for go-kart racing is the Motorsport Arena in Ötztal-Bahnhof.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds in the Tyrolean Unterland

In Schwaz, immerse into the largest silver mine of the late Middle Ages with the Grubenhunt and learn everything about the rough life of the miners. In the Swarovski Kristallwelten Wattens, works of art made of cut crystals sparkle in the magical realm of the giant. At the end you will visit the probably most beautiful medieval old town of Tyrol in the coin town Hall.
