OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES AROUND INNSBRUCK

MOUNTAIN EXPERIENCE

The mountaineering village Sellraintal, the wild and romantic Karwendel Mountains, the rugged Mieming chain - without exaggeration, the most beautiful hiking areas in Tyrol loom in our neighborhood. The family-friendly Kemater Alm with a view of the Kalkkögel and countless other managed alpine pastures and huts serve delicious delicacies as a reward for the ascent.

The imposing Martinswand dominates our view to the north. Don't forget your binoculars to admire the skilled climbers on the vertical rock. The secured hiking trail to the Kaiser Maximilian Grotto begins not far from the hotel and offers a wonderful view of the valley basin. Many climbing areas for all skill levels are within reach in all directions, e.g. the Ehnbachklamm in the neighboring town of Zirl or the Höttinger Steinbruch above Innsbruck.

CYCLING & BIKING

The Inn Cycle Route - pleasantly flat and with plenty of variety as far as the Tyrolean Oberland or eastwards through the centre of Innsbruck - flows right past the hotel and represents the number one choice for leisure cyclists and the whole family. Mountain bikers with or without e-support are able to pedal up to one of the many Alpine pastures from the hotel. Downhill fans are drawn to the Bikepark Innsbruck on the Muttereralm with mountain railway, trails and practice terrain or to the Bike Republic in the Ötz Valley. The challenging Nordkette single trail is an accolade for experts.

ACTION & ADRENALINE

How about summer tobogganing on the Alpine Coaster in Imst? Climbing in the high ropes course in Fulpmes? Or something even more heart pounding at the entrance to the Ötztal, where Europe's ultimate outdoor park AREA 47 serves a lively action menu with rafting, canyoning, MTB workshops and lots of trendy sports in the large water area and on western Austria's first wakeboard facility. Go for it!

MOUNTAINS AND LAKES

Still waters that reflect the peaks and the sky: there are hardly any nicer walks than along the banks of a lake. On hot days, you can even take a dip in the refreshing water. Even after a short drive from the Edelmanns, you can circle idyllic natural waters, e.g. the Seefelder See, Möserer See, Natterer See or the Lanser See. Each one a feast for the eyes and a special place of power.

WINTER HOLIDAY IN INNSBRUCK

SKIING OF ALL KINDS

Many guests appreciate the Edelmanns for ski hopping in the nearby ski areas. But cross-country skiers can also take advantage of the central location to master leisurely laps close to the city or challenging stretches up to 1,600 m above sea level. Seefeld's winter magic with 245 km of perfectly groomed trails and several ski areas for ski racers and ski tourers is at your feet after approx. 20 minutes.

The natural Sellraintal with its lonely side valleys opens up countless possibilities for ski tours. In addition to routes for beginners, ascents to over 3,000 m above sea level with crisp deep snow runs, that are reserved for ski touring professionals, are tempting.

TOBOGGANING & WINTER HIKING

Pure winter and lots of "fun" with friends and family offer toboggan trips on the Rangger Köpf, on the natural toboggan run in the Axamer Lizum or the family-friendly toboggan runs Birgitzer Alm, Kemater Alm and Muttereralm. Winter hiking is even gentler and quieter. Marked paths in the villages around Innsbruck or on the sunny Mieminger Plateau take you to romantic stretches of land far away from the hustle and bustle.

ICE CLIMBING

Some of the most beautiful and popular icefalls in the region with different levels of difficulty await you in the Sellraintal. Local tour operators and private guides accompany you safely through the frozen terrain.
